On the weekend of April 14 to 16, we moved to Cecyl in Segovia to take part in the 3* International Dressage Competition (CDI3*) with our mare Corsaria CAD.
This year we participated in the 7-year-old horse class, in which, in addition to the gaits notes as in younger ages, there is also a technical mark for the exercises. In the preliminary test on the first day, we obtained a final average of 69.350%, with 67.500% for the technical part of a correct test and 71.200% for the gaits mark. On the second day in the final test, the technical note dropped to 64,000% due to some mistakes in the canter part, raising the gaits note to 73.600%, making a final average of 68,800%.
At this level there were 12 horses on the track, of which 9 were PRE horses looking for one of the necessary marks to qualify for the team that will go to the World Championship of Young Horses in Ermelo in August. On this occasion, we ranked as the third best PRE in the category, and we added a first grade for the ANCCE qualifying ranking for SICAB, placing in tenth position for the moment.
