HISTORY

Stud founded by D. Nicolás Mendoza Funez in 2010, with the purpose of breeding Purebred Spanish Horses for sport. The stud is located in Chiclana de Segura (JAÉN).

The farm is conditioned for the well-being of our horses as well as for their training. There are 20 stables, 2 farrowing stalls, horse walker, an indoor and an 2 outdoor arenas. In addition to several fields in 80 130 Hectares for mares and foals, where they can enjoy a privileged environment and has a correct diet always supervised by the best experts.

Foals are divided by age in different big fields within the farm, enjoying of a controlled freedom that allows them to develop good temperament, purity and kindness as well as all their physical qualities.

BEGINNIGS

We bought mares to different breeders, Marín García bloodlines (OFICIAL XXIX) and Miura (PANADERO VII, VIII), and Escalera (TORERO XI) and some stallions with similar bloodlines, all of them with a strong bone structure, good shoulders, strong hindlegs, balanced hoofs and of course, good temperament, beauty and movements. Our initial stallions HALCÓN XLIII and MAESTRO XXII comes from Escalera (TORERO XI), JINETE IX from Miura (PANADERO VII, VIII), and our more recent stallions are VALEN MÁSTIL, son of QUITO IV (Gonzalo Valenzuela) and grandson of VELERO XI (Yeg. Militar) and BUCANERO CAD (DOBLÓN TR x ERMITAÑO).

THE FUTURE

Our horses are divided into sport horses and horses for sale. Once known the origins of Yeguada Mendoza, the future of the stud is determined by the horses FUNCTIONALITY. Sport horses, not just beautiful horses. Horses for riding, trying to select those with the best aptitudes for DRESSAGE. Our objective is to breed quality horses, based on the nobility and beauty that characterizes the Spanish Horses, as well as a correct morphology and functionality. Our competition horses are getting very good results. Some of them are:

  • Jinete IX: Champion SICAB 2013 (7 yo).
  • Perdido CAD: Champion SICAB 2016 (5 yo).
  • Gaucho CAD: 6º Spanish Championship for Young Horses (8-9 yo) being the best Andaluian horse classified, and 3º San Jorge SICAB 2020.
  • Invasor CAD: 4º SICAB 2016 (4 yo), 3º SICAB 2017 (5 yo), qualified as EXCELLENT – PSCJ.
  • Corsaria CAD: 1º Final test 4 yo SICAB 2020
