May, competition week in Antequera

The last week of May, our young horses attended a week full of competition at Club Hípico Antequera – Los Quintos.

On the 23rd and 24th, one of the calls for the Young Horse Selection Tests (PSCJ) took place with a high participation. In the test for 4-year-old horses, a crowded test with 16 horses competing, our rider Raúl Arcos got a fifth place with Olvido CAD (x Jinete IX), with a good final note of 77,000%, highlighting the 8, 1 for his canter. Marcha CAD, was placed just behind him in this qualifying, obtaining an average of 76,200%, and just following them, Verdi CAD (x Jinete IX) ridden by Marta Martínez, with a result of 74.6000%, showing a good progression in their second show.

In the tests for 6-year-old horses, Oliva CAD achieved his best result in the Preliminary test, with a third place and an average of 73,400%, standing out his canter valued with 7,7.

Our oldest horse in this show was Olé CAD (x Maestro XXII), a 7-year-old horse for sale, with whom Raúl achieved a second position both days with averages close to 70%.

After the PSCJ, a CDN** took place over the weekend at the same facilities. Here our horses, already more accustomed to the place, in one of their first outings from home, achieved even better results. Olvido CAD achieved his highest score to date, 78,800%, showing his best canter (8,5) and showing that he is a horse with a good future (8,0), in addition to winning the ANCCE Cup medal for this result. In 6 years old, Oliva CAD also improved her results from the previous days, achieving a final average of 76,000%.

Our horses are thus placed within the ANCCE Ranking qualifying for Sicab 2023: Olvido CAD in 10th place with only two marks, and Marcha CAD in 12th, both in 4 years old.
