The week of October 14th to 20th has been a very intense week of dressage for PRE horses. It was the last week of competitions qualifying for the ANCCE Cup before SICAB, and a CDN** took place in both Córdoba and Madrid during the week and a CDN*** during the weekend.
In Palma del Río (Córdoba) we had broad representation at various levels. In 5 years, Verdi CAD (x Jinete IX) ridden by Marta Martínez, achieved a grade of 78.000% in the preliminary test of the first competition, and a third position, with marks of 8.0 for trot and future expectations.
In 7 year-old level, Bucanero CAD, ridden by Raúl Arcos, achieved the second place in the preliminary of both competitions, with an average of 70.846% and 70.500%, highlighting the note of 8.0 in the canter. In the Prix St. George test, Olé CAD, also ridden by Raúl Arcos, achieved an average of 67.647% in the CDN**.
In Grand Prix level, Gaucho CAD, ridden by Antonio Vázquez, achieved a second place in the GP of the first competition (68.152%) as well as in the Special GP (67.270%), in addition to winning the two tests of the second competition, with final averages of 66.630% and 67.163%.
On the other hand, in Las Cadenas (Madrid), Corsaria CAD, ridden by María Gómez, participated in both the CDN** held during the week and the CDN*** on the weekend, achieving its best result in the Prix St. George test of the first show, with an average score of 67.549% and a second position.
Therefore, once all the qualifying competitions have finished, our horses that will compete in SICAB 2024 by ranking are:
- Olvido CAD, ridden by Raúl Arcos, in 5 years.
- Verdi CAD, ridden by Marta Martínez, in 5 years.
- Oliva CAD, ridden by Raúl Arcos, in 7 years.
- Bucanero CAD, ridden by Raúl Arcos, in 7 years.
- Gaucho CAD, ridden by Antonio Vázquez, in Grand Prix.
Both Olvido and Oliva, after their participation at the Young Horse World Championship in Ermelo this summer, will try to repeat the good results already achieved last year at SICAB 2023, where both were proclaimed PRE World Champions in their respective categories.
We thank Git Doc as sponsor for all the support offered during this intense season, second internationally for our horses.
