From March 2nd to 9th, the first two international competitions of the year in Spain took place at the facilities of the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez de la Frontera.
For both our rider Raúl Arcos and our stallion PRE Olvido CAD, it has been the first international experience, as well as the first competition in the new 5-year-old category, and it could not have been more positive. In all the tests we could see the quality in all the gaits of this horse, son of Jinete IX, elite PRE stallion, and the results went from less to more.
During the first competition, with 10 participating horses, the preliminary test was scored with an average of 74.800%, with marks of 7.5 for trot and canter, and 7.6 for future perspective, becoming winner of the test. In the final test they obtained a total average of 76.400%, this time with marks of 8.0 in submission and 7.8 in future perspectives, thus placing second in the general classification.
The results of the second competition were 78.800% for the preliminary test (8.2 in submission, and 8.0 in canter and future perspective) to place third in a test with 13 horses. The final test concluded with a magnificent 80,000% (8.0 for all grades) and a second position.
With these scores, Olvido CAD achieves his first qualifying marks for the World Championship for Young Horses.
